Is my truck leveled or lifted?

I just bought this as a CPOV. I didn’t even think to check at the time, but it seems my truck is unusually tall with both front and back standing at 38.5” with no load on 275/55/R20. I am indifferent about the leveled look and about to start towing a 5000lb Travel Trailer.

More than likely it’s leveled. Should be able to look at the strut assembly and determine that pretty quickly.

By your measure numbers look like is level but you can easy tell by just look at the front shock, for sure is not lifted.

Show us some pictures of the front strut assembly, particularly the top of the struts if its stock suspension. Its leveled somehow. Either spacers or an aftermarket leveling strut.

If both the front and both the rear are all at the same height, by definition I would call that "level";)

Hopefully this isn't too dark. Is this enough for you to be able to tell?
Thanks all!!

That looks like it might be a preload spacer in there. But I honestly can’t remember off hand what its supposed to look like stock. I’ll check mine tomorrow if no one answers you before then.

@MG99 a preloaded spacer meaning you think this was factory leveled?

That there is a leveling spacer in the front. There is no factory level...it’s aftermarket. Hope that helps.

From the picture it actual looks like a pre-load spacer as well as reg spacer.

@tpoony, Reg spacer goes on top of strut assembly, compared to pre-load you remove top plate of strut assembly and place preload spacer on spring and reinstall top plate.

I’m not OP but is that ring above the preload spacer what you’re referring to as the reg spacer?

Yup, you have a preload spacer on there.

Mopar does sell a lift kit that includes a preload spring spacer and that does look similar to the one on your truck. Though it's likely similar looking to any aftermarket spring spacer available for RAM.

So next question, how is the ride, does it feel a little rough? If you don't like it, I would contact the dealer and have it removed. However, if you like it, I would still contact the dealer so they can check the front alignment to make sure it's correct and you don't prematurely wear out your tires.

However, I don't see the top hat spacer mentioned earlier, looks normal to me.

I'm thinking that is the rim of the top plate, since its showing outside of the sturt holder or bucket(whatever you want to call it) I'm thinking there may be a regular spacer installed on top of the top plate.

I think that piece of metal you marked as the top plate of strut assembly is actually part of the housing where the strut assembly resides. It's hard to see unless you magnify it.

OK, I just watched a video of a ReadyLift 3.5 SST kit being installed. Based on what I'm seeing, you don't have a preload spacer, that black puck thing we are seeing could be the base of the strut itself.

Check out the assembly at in this video, set at 7m 07sec.

Darn I thought we had it solved, now back to square 1. Lol. OP Take more pics. I’m going out to my truck now To look at the stock set up. BRB

Didn’t have a lot of room to get my camera in there but I jacked it up to get what I could. OP Definitely has a spacer of some kind in there somewhere because mine has almost no room to see anything on top of the strut inside the spring.
