Is it possible to disable trip data recording?

I briefly turned on the Wakeup word thing but then I realized, it's going to record EVERYTHING continuously, so I turned that back off. I'd like to have the convenience of voice-activated stuff but there's a line.

I know too in the recent years, some of the connected services have been cut back in the trial periods given on new vehicles. I used to get SiriusXM for a year, now it’s 3 months. We just purchased a 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit and I’m gonna check it out to see if we get that package included that you can see ‘trips”

Well All,
In my RAM App for my 2020 Laramie, I do not have any of those selections. At the bottom of my app, there is the location of my truck, which is usually very accurate. There are no options to display any of the other information that the other members have mentioned. I did also make sure that my phone has the latest version from the Google Play Store to verify this information.

I just went to the connect website to see what packages I wasn’t paying for and I could not find anything that would include “trips”
Checked with my ‘22 Ram 1500 and then checked what our new Jeep GC has or could have. Nothing to show trips. I dunno, but it’s odd. I have high end vehicles with all the bells & whistles except this trip recordings availability

TBH, I don't remember seeing any of these options on my 2021 Limited. I only had the basic remote package and was annoyed that I even had to pay for it. It was worth it to have the remote start capability from the app. I've actually learned a lot from this discussion and I don't know that I would pay for a subscription to have the detailed trip info. My truck is barely driven (I traded my 21 in last month with less than 17K miles on it) and I don't have many situations where anyone but me is driving it so all the monitoring stuff is likely wasted. The only reason I'm dealing with this now is that my new truck needed a few things done that required handing it back to the dealer after purchase. If you regularly have someone else driving it, some of these extra services might be a value-add.

I'll add that the ONLY reason I replaced my 2021 was the fact that the dash bubbled and needed to be replaced. That almost sent me to another brand. I'm giving Ram another chance. I do plan to tint the windshield here very soon to avoid a repeat although they seem to have made some changes. Otherwise, I loved my 21 and would never have thought about getting rid of her. I'm totally diggin the massaging seats on this new truck. I'm actually driving slower now so I can have a longer butt massage.

I did see one anomaly where it only recorded about half the trip so maybe it was just a coincidence this time. I was just curious if anyone knew of a way to temporarily disable it.

I noticed the fuel economy in the app seems pretty harsh. I haven't tried to do any math on that yet but it tells me I get like 3mpg on just about every trip and I'm not that bad of a driver. The gas gauge doesn't seem to agree either.
I recently did a 142 mile trip and used 38.6 gallons of gas according to the app. Lol. Didn't even have to stop for gas. I must have the super secret 50 gallon gas tank.
