would this work? it literally plugs into the back of the 8.4 uconnect. I have the 12" uconnect so not sure if compatible. The video install looks legit...

I hope someone answers soon... I had a 2015 without the sensors and was happy my new one did NOT have the front sensors, now I am not so sure. I cannot figure out where my front end is and have had to get back in and move it up a few times. AND since the thing is four inches longer than the 2015 it sticks out big time so, I have had to get in and move it forward a few times for that... I think they can stop now on making them bigger and longer.

With an aftermarket front camera I have done everything. The only thing I have left is the 12v source power. I was told if you go to battery it will get hot. Has anyone done an aftermarket one and where are you pulling power from ? Maybe somewhere in the fuse box?

Are you trying to wire one with a parking feature or just one when the vehicle is on? Either way I just did a fuse tap to the interior fuse box and the ground to a bolt near the fuse box.

Just when on. Maybe that is what others were doing.

I ordered this power adapter to plug in-line with the accessory power plug in the tray above the radio to power my front cam, just make sure you don’t have that accessory plug set to constant voltage, if you go this route.

That’s a good idea. Where did you find that?

The big e commerce site (ends with bay). It’s a 12 Volt Accessory Power + Ground T Plug Connection Cable for Some Jeep/Ram/Fiat. It was right around $20 shipped.

Where did you make the change from constant to keyed?

In the fuse panel below the steering column.

The 2019–2023 Ram 1500's 12V outlet can be switched to either ignition power only or always on by changing the position of the fuse in the cabin fuse block. The fuse block is located on the driver's side panel, under the steering wheel, behind a 7 mm bolt. The yellow 20 amp fuse is in spot number f54
