Hi guys. I hard wired my BlackVue dashcams. After finding the fuse box, thanks to you guys, the only thing that I had to do is get a circuit tester to see which fuses were constant or switched. Getting the cords around the trim was super easy. In the back I went from passenger to driver side behind the back seat and then back up the trim.

I plan on getting a set of these here soon. How is the picture out the back? Did you mount the rear camera high?

For the fuse locations I’m planning on using the add a fuse things to put a fuse in the power wires to the cam.

I have a 2 camera blackvue also, took it out of my F150 trade and put it in the Ram. It is a great system. I went with the thinkware system in my jeep [for some dumb reason] it's ok but i wish i had put the blackvue in it and probley will.

I will be switching mine out for the add a fuse. I went to pick some up and I couldn't find any locally..

Where did you mount the rear camera?
My rear camera is mounted [looking from the back of the truck] just to the right of the sliding rear window about 2 1/2". If you mount it on the other side the sliding window will hit it. It has a good view from there.

For those of you that own the blackvue, how does it do with the summer heat and sun, especially for the 4K version?

Read reviews on Amazon would make me avoid this brand because of heat issues. What are your experiences?

I have three cars with it. No issues but they have been installed since October. Ask me again in a few months. We are in Texas.

I don't have the 4k but my blackvue was in my 2016 F150 for almost 3 years without issue, now in my Ram.

I had the DR-750s-2CH in my last vehicle and never had an issue, I have the DR-900s-2CH in this truck and the other day it got over 80 outside and the camera sent temperature warnings multiple times to me. I am on the latest firmware too which supposedly addresses some of this. I installed my front camera below the shroud for a full centered view and the rear I installed on the sliding window which never opens. I wish Ram would allow us to delete a sliding rear window. I am using the Samsung Pro Endurance 128GB SD card.

So it seems true, it will have heat issues! 80 is not too hot and summer isn't even here yet.

Yep, Sunny and 75 and it was in the sun and I got the warning twice so I shut the warning off.

I had a BlackView 650 2 ch in my 2016 Chrysler 300. Just traded up for the RAM 1500 Laramie and want to get the Blackview 900 series. I had no heat/temperature issues but did have remote start issues. Remote start wouldn't work and I was told it was due to the "parking mode" of the dashcam draining the battery. Anyone have any experience like that with the BlackView in the 2019's?

As a licensed automotive technician your wiring job hurts my soul.
