I installed aftermarket mirrors chevy style on my Ram 1500 now the ambient air temperature sensor is out .the problem is it's not a chevy sensor and not a ram sensor but the ram sensor will fit but need a ram wiring diagram to adapt the ram connector to the mirror harness as I have the mirrors harness color code of which wire is pos.and which is neg.
Cause when this sensor in your mirror goes out . It stop your front two windows from working and your mirrors from unfolding, and your remote start from working . So it is a major pain right now

Or by chance because of all the fact that the window switches and mirror switches and now my lock and unlock buttons on the door it self all stop working but the remote still locks and unlocks the doors so would it be the switch unit or the electronic door control module

Sounds like the module does not like the new mirrors and/or they may not be wired correctly for your truck.

Unplug just the mirrors from the module in the door. Verify if door switch controls return correctly.

You mentioned concerns over the ambient air temperature sensor. Not sure if the OEM sensor will fit your aftermarket mirrors, but i would move it over if possible.. I have yet to see one of those ambient temp sensors cause any issue with door/window/mirror controls in the event of typical sensor failure. If it's wired incorrectly, that's another story.

Well it all worked find for three months with the aftermarket mirrors before the problem started the only pliable about unplugging the ambient air is it is on the same connector as windows and door locks but not the remote mirror movement

Interesting. Still sounds like something went short to ground in the mirror.

Or possibly the Body Control Module.
