Install 12V outlets in bed

I came across this video of someone installing 12V outlets in the bed of his 2013 Ram.

Post 10 of this thread gives an idea of how to run wire to the bed of the truck; I plan on using that as a guide.

Since selling the Laramie, I’m planning projects for my Longhorn as I anxiously await its arrival.

Has anybody tried something like this with a 5th Gen? Any tips or things I should look out for?

Lack of 12v outlets and needing bed cover

Just got a 21 Limited 1500 crew cab, short bed with ram boxes and multifunction tail gate. It has 3 115v outlets (front, rear and ram box) which can't handle hardly anything at 400w. There is only one 12v outlet and its on the top of the dash!. I would really like a 12v outlet in the rear seat...
