Initializing bluetooth message

Tried the search function and found nothing specific to my issue. I stopped to get gas today and the phone worked through usb and bluetooth. Got back in the truck and nothing will connect now. The phone will charge but will not pair via blutooth or android auto. I try pairing the phone and all I get is "initializing bluetooth" and the message never goes away.
