I received a recall notice today. Anybody else receives this? Is this "Old News"?

I also wonder if this is what happened to the lady that had a complete engine shut down in this thread: Total engine replacement...Jesus take the wheel!

I still have the DEF recall and the High Pressure Fuel Pump on my Ecodiesel. No parts available yet for the Fuel Pump.

Had the issue of the engine stalling, without warning, 2 times leaving a stop sign, once exiting the highway. Wasn't going a huge rate of speed obviously, but still dangerous. I am not so sure the recall is the answer, I am still having the issue after the recall. Lose total motive power, emergency brake engages, and lose ability to control vehicle. Vehicle will restart after the emergency brake is disengaged. I did find interesting that after the recall, I intermittently get a warning while driving that my emergency braking system is off. It almost makes me think the vehicle was programmed to shut emergency braking system off if situation occurs again wIth engine. This truck has 70k miles on it this problem started at the 25k mark, they wanted to charge me to put it in for diagnostics and if it didn't code. This is my first Ram, I am shocked I am having these issues, as I have heard nothing but great things in regards to Ram. I have extended warranty that was purchased
at the dealership and was misled on, didn't quite catch the name on the warranty, assumed it would have been Ram. I wanted extended Ram warranty and they sold me a 3rd party warranty, now I received a letter from 3rd party to call them after 3 years, there was an increase in rates and I might lose my warranty if I don't pay the difference, does a contract not mean anything anymore?

I have had the same thing happen to me on my 23 Laramie. I was approaching a stop sign when the emergency brakes slammed on and the engine shut off.
I was very startled and finally figured it out. People behind me were honking and I then waved them around.
I went to the dealership and told them what happened, and they said "Huh, never heard of that, bring it back if it happens again"
If it happens again at a bad time it could be catastrophic.
This is a real safety issue.

This has happened to me twice in the last 2 months. First time was just the emergency brake as though that’s not bad enough. Yesterday was the emergency brake and then it stalled. Brought to the dealer the first time and was told nothing is wrong. Yesterday dropped off and was told I’m a priority, that didn’t pan out. They do oil changes on Saturday.
