Scenario 1 :

2023
Laramie with everything I want.
Only downside is it has the e-Torque system.
MSRP : 67,975
Discounted : 63,118 + tax + tag + $444

Scenario 2 :

2022
Big Horn and missing most of the items on my "want" list.
But does have standard V8
MSRP : 55,925
Out The Door : 42,000

That is almost a $20K difference in price.
Would you give up your "must have" items to save $20K?

You will always regret not getting the truck you want with the options you want.

You should be able to get a much greater discount on the 23 Laramie as well. Mark Dodge has $8k off all of theirs. Plus Ram current incentives and Bonus Cash would give you an extra $2k off. You could order from them and have it delivered and still save $5k+ probably depending on where you live

Why not just do a factory order for exactly what you want for a good price? The '23 Laramie you're looking at is a terrible deal. No way I would do that unless I was in some sort of emergency situation.

I would get the one that has everything you want if budget allows.

You only live once. Enjoy it.

Get what you want, but at a better price than that. Not saying you have to get a crazy good deal, but you could get a better deal on the Laramie without much effort.
Good luck

It's funny that I ever wondered if the e-torque would give me problems. It's been fine, it's all the other stuff that's breaking on the truck. :)

Yeah the e torque is the least of his and our worries. The uconnect 5 would be one thing I wouldn't want. The etorque is actually very nice and smooth. Much better running than the radio. Lol.

Actually, the Laramie price is the Mark Dodge price.

Don't be afraid of eTorque.
I've haven't had any issues with mine.

I do a lot of around town driving and wasn't thrilled with e-Torque as it feels like downshifting when coming to a stop.
It was annoying enough for me to think about giving up all the wanted items to get a standard v8 if the price was worth it.

Totally unaware about the unconnect 5. Is there a thread about it?

Look for a slightly used truck. Get the regular Hemi and every option you want...

Just to confirm, you spoke to Aaron at MD and that is the price he sent you on the POC? If that's the case, 100% shop around. Like my first post said, you should be somewhere around $59k if not lower.
