For those that have installed the Husky mud flaps on your rebels. Did you use the paint protector on the fender flares?

No, the paint protection really is only for smooth painted surfaces, probably won't stick well to the textured unpainted factory flare.

However, so little of the mud flap actually touches the flare, I don't think scratching will be an issue if you eventually take them off in the future. If so, you can easily hide it with plastic dressing.

I've attached a pic of mine in case you haven't installed yours yet, so you see the fit and why the protector isn't really needed.
