I would like to report that I have a humming noise. The noise is terribly annoying and happens usually when going downhill but also on level ground, maybe when shifting to a lower gear or the 8 cylinders on the Hemi moves to the 4 cylinders. Noise can show up at 25 mph up to 70 mph. My daughter and son-in-law rode with us last weekend and described it as deafening. I have taken it to two different dealerships and both act like I am crazy. It is 2019 Ram Bighorn 1500 with the Hemi. Would appreciate some direction on how to resolve the problem.

Could be the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) for the Mullti Displacement System (MDS). This is when it goes into the 4 cylinder mode. I had the same - more noticeable with people or gear in the back. There are threads on the 5th Gen Forum on this. Attached is the Technical Service Bulletin (TSB).

You can display the "eco" light on your dash and see if it correlates to the sound. Mine was noticeable just under 1500 rpms. Kept my back seat loaded with containers when I brought it to the dealership. It has only been a few weeks and all good so far, some have had it repaired but it returned.

If you have trouble with the 5th gen forum search use google and add 5th gen forum.

Thanks so much. I will talk to the dealership about this. I know that they have to know this but they act like they do not know, which is very frustrating. I love my pickup but this makes me want to get rid of it.

Good luck. It worked on my Ram.
The other option is to turn off the MDS. It has to be done each time you get in the truck. I have read how it is done but I do not turn it off so I'm not familiar with it. I'm sure someone will chime in. Also do you have the OEM exhaust? That seems to make a difference from what I have read.
Hope you can enjoy the truck despite this annoyance.
