How to remove Carplay from top card??

New 2020 Rebel with 12". When I plug my phone it Carplay shows up in the top card. I don't really want Carplay always visible but there is no "X" to remove it and replace it with something else. All of the other "cards" do have an "X" where I can change it out for another one.

What am i doing wrong?

In the ‘19 you can only have it as the top card. You can replace it with something else but not built in nav or phone. Those default back to CarPlay showing as the top card. Built in nav works but only if you have it as the full screen option.

James, Thank you for this. If i wanted to have radio on the top and apple on the bottom how do i move it? I don't see the "X"?

As @james.h.morris68 wrote, you can’t display CarPlay on the bottom card. Not until FCA decides to enable that capability, anyway.
