How to disassemble, modify the center tray by bench seat?

So I ordered a bench seat because I like to have the sixth seating position; even if it is a bit snug it’s handy...

...but the little (useless?) storage cups attached to the front of the bench seat are right where feet normally go. Does anyone have a clue how the seat disassembles, and whether the little plastic cup piece could be easily removed without uncovering some gaping hole? Here’s a pic of what I’m talking about... those are size 10 1/2 for reference. (@I Love Grits no pressure but I see you’ve got a knack for finding the guides for this type of thing!)

Looks like you're right that removing the storage bin will leave you with a large cutout to deal with. See below & attached. Hope this helps.
