How tight should rear tonneau cover clamps be?

I installed my Tyger T3 Tri Fold cover last weekend and while I am very happy with it, I'm wondering just how tight the clamps that are towards the rear of the bed should be. The metal bed rail is bending out ever so slightly the way it is now, but I certainly wouldn't consider it overly tight at all, just decently snug. Do you ignore this and just torque it down a little more, or should it really only just be a little tight?

Thanks!

Used to have one for my ford that I sold. I think snug is good. Ordered another type for my ram...and I’m not going to over tight at all.

I have the same cover. I tightened it to the point where it starts to flex the metal lip just a bit. When released the metal lip goes back to it's original position.

Basically what I did too. Thanks.
