How long will the TSB Leaks take at the Dealer?

2020 Laramie 44k miles
Been at dealer for 4 weeks. Dealer says they found multiple leaks all covered 100%, Shark Fin, 3rd Brake light and rear windshield. Said they’d have to take the truck all apart and reseal the whole rear windshield and it’d have to cure for 24 hours. Say they are waiting on parts, no tracking, no eta.

When I first noticed water on the driver floor I did the Fender TSB myself (attached photo). Brought it through the car wash, all dry. I think I fixed it. Weeks later, just by chance vacuuming the after a rain storm I noticed the carpets are soaked. Get it dry again. Drive through a rain storm - Dry. Park during light rain- wet. Getting the truck dry again had me wanting to trade it in. And it’s like the dealer knows that.

I bought this used in Feb 2023 out of state as a certified pre owned 700 miles away. It had 16k miles and was $43k. I called them days in advance, didn’t haggle, paid the sticker price. It had half a tank of gas, an exhaust leak, and no floor mats when I picked it up. Drove it all the way back to my local shop. Point of purchase honored the gas leak and sent a gas gift card. lol. The floor mats took 9 months to deliver. Looking back I think they knew about the leak and that’s why the floor mats were out in the first place.

Check the rear cab vents on the back wall too. Cab vents are a common leak point that can get overlooked. Easy to check by lifting the back seat, spraying water in between the cab and bed, then see if it runs down the inside of the back wall.

My 2021 Laramie has been dry inside AFAIK since it was new 4.5 years ago. Now, after a recent drive through a torrential rainstorm, I find some water. First, on the left shoulder of the driver side rear seat. Then found water dripping from the same driver's side rear seat shoulder belt attachment that runs thru the C pillar cover. Also, some water along the upper plastic sliding glass frame, and perhaps signs of earlier dripping along the inside of the glass.

However, no signs whatever of other water. Anywhere. I pulled the rear seats and inspected carefully. Everything dry, and doesn't look as if it has ever been wet. Area behind the seats dry, electronics dry, dirt on back wall of cab shows no signs of water running on it. I pulled the third brake light, expecting to find a leak there. Nope. The gasket looks perfect, and zero sign of any dirt or water on the inside of the gasket. In fact, I'm amazed at how clean it all is after nearly five years in dusty southern California!

I think this leak just started, and I caught it early. It isn't in the center brake light. I'm suspecting the rear glass.

I can check the vents whenever I get it back. I brought it to the dealer expecting to pay. I figured that was better than getting mold and having the floors rot out, and electrical issues. When they said all the leaks were covered I thought no **** Ram Cares lol. The dealer said it’s the rear windshield that’s the hold up. I thought 4 weeks and still no parts was a long wait. Was wondering if anyone else had a long wait for their rear glass.

The most recent TSB for the rear window leak just has the dealer applying sealant to the window, now replacing it. If they have already removed your old windows you are kind of stuck. If not, I'd ask them why they ordered a new window instead of just following the TSB

Sounds like multiple cracks in the rear glass frame.
Clean it good and dry it, then Permatex it all the way across and down the sides.

I did the same to the drivers side after this.

Just clicked on couple online suppliers web sites, available and ready to ship, so who knows what the holdup is with yours.
