Get on the highway and go 70 mph. If the pistons fly out of the block and valves dance on the hood it's a 3.92. If you keep your testicles in your wife's purse you have a 3.21

I have 3.92 rear end and am glad I do. the truck has plenty get up and go and it is a great gear for towing. at 70 I think the rpms are around 1900 and when not towing I nearly always get 20 mpg if I stay under 80.

That's great.
At 70mph I get around 17mpg on 100% flat ground.
My RPMs are in the 2k range already at 70mph
74mph is around 2400 rpm.

Edit: I'm at 2200 RPM at 74mph with 3.92s. I don't have a lot of flat ground in my part of the country.
