Just wanted to mention.
Your main breaker box hot legs alternate left and right between the breakers. Just because the breaker is on the right, doesn’t mean it’s on the “right side leg”

Still trying to understand why the breaker that was tripped isn’t the one for the section without power

Oh I read it again and you have an open on the hot wire in that daisy chain. An open shouldn’t trip the breaker tho.

Yeah, that threw me for a big loop in the beginning. It has nothing to do with the legs of the breaker. It's an Eaton single pole breaker
