Horn wiring

I went out and checked. I followed the wires from the firewall to the stock horn. in and around the battery area is where I tapped into the wiring to add the 2nd set of horns. No way anyone is going to be able to cut or pull the wiring that deep in and has to be impossible without raising the hood. Couple that with the fact that I did manage to re-route the stock wiring from the horn back towards the firewall to make the wiring more inaccessible leaves me feeling satisfied that I'm protected.

Thanks. I actually ended up finding the right connector on amazon for the stock horn. Came in a set of male and female with pigtails. I had the old wiring harness I made for a set of hella supertone horns I had on my last truck so was able to save some time. Essentially I used the 12v signal from the factory horn wire to energize a relay that powers the extra horns. The horns are mounted just in front of the battery in that small space. I think I wired it so that even if the stock horn wire is pulled it will still provide the 12v signal to the relay but I'll have to double check.
