Hoping to get my first Ram, looking at used 2019+ Ram 1500 hemi 4x4's to tow a 6000 lb travel trailer in the mountains. Does the 8.4 with navigation require a monthly payment to keep active??? Also, noticed many people adding the factory trailer brake controller, what all is included if says has "tow package" ???

No the nav itself doesn't require a subscription, but other things that come with it like Sirius Guardian & Travel Link do if you want them. Google those items to see their features and costs. I myself would never pay a subscription for those items.

The trailer tow package includes the following:

Does is include extra engine and transmission cooling or is that standard??

Do you need tow mirrors in pulling a standard width travel trailer?

No additional cooling with that package. I havent towed, but if you really need mirrors for a trip, get the clip on ones. trailer mirrors do not power fold and thats a pain on the **** on a truck as big as this.

Do the mirrors power fold when turn off the truck?

there is a button on the door near the window up/down to fold and unfold the non-tow mirrors. Its not like a mercedes when you lock it, it folds. Tow mirrors are completely manual folding

Most people opt for the brake controller instead of the tow package, especially on the higher trim levels since they include the class IV trailer hitch. If you get the tow package, you cannot have the 360 surround view camera or power folding mirrors. The only thing the tow package would have given me that didn't come with one of the other options I got, was the tow mirrors and the brake controller. Since I could add that separately, there was no reason to get the tow package. I advise against it unless you are dead set on having stock tow mirriors. If I ever need wider mirrors I'll just get some that I can clip onto my existing mirrors, as was already suggested.
