Hello all,
I was excited to get my hands on a new 2025 Ram 1500 because of the new In-line six cylinder with twin turbo. I have owned 3 Ram 1500. Now the 2025 Ram 1500 Tungsten is my fourth. I traded in my 2021 Ram 1500 Limited 4x4 for the new Tungsten. I truly wanted the RHO but at my age I was afraid I wasn't able to get inside. So elected to stay with the 4-corner Air Suspension. My Tungsten was loaded and I had every added package installed. I also traded in my 2021 Ram because of the Hemi Tic started at 21,000 miles and I traded it in with 28,000. My new truck was delivered to me by a driver that drove my truck 200 miles and I didn't notice when he arrived that the motor was ticking. It has a vibration sound when it is started in the morning and the notable tic is coming from the passenger side of the motor. The power of the HO is through the rough but when a motor has a noise that shouldn't be there concerns me.

My question is does anyone have the new Hurricane engine, and do you have a tic (almost like a lifter tick). I have taken it to my local dealership and the tech that greets you commented it could be the fuel pump that is located in the engine bat area. Has anyone else hear this tic or have had it fixed?

Welcome. Hope you like the new truck.

I don't seem to hear a tic with my limited I just picked up with the same engine...by tic I'm assuming you mean something similar in sound to the hemi tic?

Bring it to the dealer.

No not the hemi tic, just a noticeable sound coming from the passenger side of the mirror. That can be heard standing next to the the truck. Hood open or closed.
The funny thing I did take it to the dealership, they would require me to leave the truck, so they can communicate with "whom ever" by email. The attendant stated they don't sit next to the computer waiting to read an email, so the dealership will send something, wait for a response, then the otherside can leave the computer and the dealership replies and waits again for a response. There isn't any phone lines to call and talk to a person. Since the truck is so new, this is how they have to diagnostic my problems. Just crazy.

That’s just messed up. Maybe they could let you use the truck in between emails or at least give you a loaner. It’s brand new so I would push them

If you bought a brand new assuming 85k+ truck, you should absolutely get a loaner. That also being said, you should 100% make sure you buy the extended mopar bumper to bumper warranty. I wouldnt own a ram without one. 8/100k is usually good enough or less if you know you get a new truck every x amount of years.

Sorry to disagree with your post, but loaner vehicles are provided by dealerships, not Ram or Stellantis. It's up to the dealership whether or not they provide one. And I'm sure the guy who spends $40k on a new Dodge Hornet feels just as entitled to a loaner as the guy who spends $85k on a new Ram. I realize the guy who spends more feels like he is more entitled to one though.

No extended warranty is bumper to bumper. That's just what the sales rep says to get you to buy one. Lots of things are not covered by those supposed bumper to bumper contracts. Just ask the guys here who have tried to get the bubbling dash covers in their Limited or Longhorn covered. Or who had their RF hub fried from water that leaked in through the cracked rear window frames. You have to read the fine print to find out exactly what is and isn't covered by them.

I have complete coverage down to the seals. You should go speak with a good dealer

Sure you do. You might want to read through your contract a little more carefully. Seals probably are covered but when you say complete you are mistaken.

My contract specifically states seals and gaskets from the engine, tranny, brakes, etc. You're clearly uneducated, stop spreading misinformation weirdo.

I realize you just joined yesterday, but there's no need for name calling or disrespect towards other members when someone disagrees with what you post.

You're spreading misinformation. If you're too fragile to handle the word "weirdo" you should probably get off the internet

Here's a small snip from my contract. This is basically the same across the entire warranty. the only thing my warranty doesn't cover is wear items such as brake pads, filters, and paint. Educate yourself sport

Brakes
Compensator/proportioning valve; metering valve; calipers, wheel cylinders; backing plate; brake adjusters and brake hardware; brake pedal, pedal lever and pedal pivot; parking brake linkage/ratchet assembly and cable; anti-lock braking system component parts including control processor/module, pump, dump valve, wheel speed sensors, solenoids, accumulator, yaw rate sensor, and pressure differential switch; master cylinder; vacuum or hydraulic brake booster assembly; hydraulic lines, hoses and fittings; brake pedal apply pin; seals and gaskets.

I can assure you that I'm not spreading what you call misinformation. One of the worst things to come out of the pandemic is the use of that word. You might want to learn to get along or you may not be long for this forum. People treating each other with respect is part of communicating, online or in other settings. If you feel triggered because someone disagrees with you perhaps it is you who are the fragile one.

Looks like standard items. What about the rest of the truck? For instance, show me where it covers water leaks into the cab or any modules that might be damaged by water intrusion.

The OP stated the truck was delvered by someone driving it 200 miles then commented he took it to the local dealer. If this is not the dealer who sold it, they may feel slighted and not want to p[rovide a loaner at dealer expense. RamCares may be the only way to get attention at stelantis for customer satisfaction (loaner car)

I bought my truck used from a Ford dealership, and they gave me an F150 loaner while it was in the FCA shop across town.

I’d keep pressuring the dealer who sold the truck to provide one.
