Homelink

Does anyone know if homelink works while the truck is off? I need to park my truck outside and want to use the homlink to open my garage as a way to easily get in the house but I don't want it to work when the truck is not on or the keyfob is not in the truck. Otherwise, it will be a security issue where people could break into my truck and easily open the garage door and be in my house. Anyone have the truck that can test this?

It doesn't [function when off] in other vehicles we own, but it's a good question...

I'll try and remember to check in the morning - do you not have a garage door opener clipped to your visor currently?

I have a good one but use homelink on all other vehicles as they are parked in the garage.

Don't know about how long after ignition switched off, but manual states that it's deactivated when the security system is activated.
