You can remove the ES Engineered stake hole covers by tapping them out from underneath with a wood dowel. They're not as easy to remove as the covers in your link, but I can't think of a reason to remove mine.

I pop mine out and put them back in all the time to install the ADARAC rack. Pop out just like Idahoktm says, super easy.

I've got bakflip mx4 tonnau cover - really like it but it would be nice to have an option to mount bike and have bed cover closed.

Bullring tie downs looks like something my money will be spent on

Agreed, those bull ring tie downs look just what I need too. I ( to my regret ) decided not to include the Bed Utility Group when I ordered my truck and now I'm wishing I did. Only have the 4 lower cleats / tie downs on the bottom of the bed. We were camping and put a spider net over the top of all the gear. It was a pain to get it secured in those bottom corners, wished I had the extra tie down points at / near the top of the sides that come with the BUG

I read somewhere they left the back ones open to be used as a hand hold when climbing in the bed.

I find myself using them for exactly that purpose !

They're good, mine are free if you have a 3D printer.



Still working through some minor shrinkage issues and long term size testing printing them in PETG, but if you can print ABS they are more stable. These were perfectly flush when first installed.

I think I need to thicken the top surface too but here's a link if anyone wants to tinker. Several designs already embossed (or smooth). Surface texturing details in the link These were built for HD beds so may need sizing adjustments for 1500.

My take on various RAM HD pickup truck stake pocket plugs/covers. I put an inside fillet on the upper edge so they sit flush with the top of the existing ABS bedrail and added some embossed maker nickname text to the sides for a little "gription" in the stake hole. The name will not show upon...

The longest pause, putting rubber edge and bolts on the flares. Perfect fit, you will have to remove plastic from the bottom, they just pull out. Part number 50936-02 on Amazon.

Yes. I can’t show pictures, because my truck the dealer still hasn’t been able to fix my flippin’ ACC/FCW, but I’ve fed wire from my solar panels through the front stake pockets into a solar controller in the bed, but those stake pockets, and the rear ones, as can be used to route wire to below the truck.

Basically, I’ve got the Harbor Freight Apache case serving as a junction box. Running through that black tube are wires for solar leading to a home built battery box, as well as 12V power back from the battery to power some lights and what not. The solar panels are on top of my rooftop tent. On the top right of that box is an Anderson connector in a waterproof cover; the solar panel wires connect to that.

How is this relevant to stake pocket holes? Just that I used the front holes to run wires into the bed.
