I just replaced the door speakers and L/R dash speakers in my 2021 w/HK sound system, because I feel like I don't have guitar mids anywhere. Dropping the bass eq to -5 or so and bumping the mids to +8 is the closest I've been able to get the "right" sound, but that mix causes other issues with treble. I replaced the doors with CDT CL-69S (after depinning and repinning for polarity swap), and have Faital 3fe22 in the left/right dash. I ordered 3 more 3fe22s from Parts Express, but they are now on backorder until late May. I wouldn't mind trying the Infinity (REF307F, or 3032cfx) instead to avoid waiting another 3 months or so, but don't want to run into any issues with mismatched ohm ratings. Has anyone used Pioneer TS-A879s as a drop in replacement in the HK systems? They look to be 4ohm and are on sale at Amazon much cheaper than the Infinity speakers. If I do go with either Infinity or the Pioneers, should I keep the two 3fe22s that I have in the dash, or move those to the door and put the new ones in the dash? Thanks in advance.
