hitch step drives rear sensors crazy, I should have thought of that

I tried an aftermarket stainless steel hitch step (the little mopar flip-out pedal is on order) that was, granted, fairly wide and, while it was handy, it caused the back-up sensors to stay on solid alert. I wasn't willing to give up the functionality (i.e. turn off) of the sensors on all the systems connected to them, so the step is gone.

Anyone use an aftermarket hitch step that is completely compatible/invisible to all the rear sensors?
