That sucks, but I wouldn't let you feel down too much, no car is perfect and sometimes they will require some TLC, especially vehicles out of warranty. I've seen peeling leather and vinyl dashes on some pretty high end vehicles, it's usually the adhesive has failed due to heat.
Most good auto upholstery shops can fix your issue pretty easily and for not that much. I would go on your local Yelp, and search auto upholstery shops, find the ones with the most best reviews and schedule an appointment to inspect your dash and get a quote.
A lot of times they can do a spot repair with the dash in place. The dealership would likely replace the dash, opening up a whole can of worms of other potential issues in the process. Honestly, I would likely go this route even in warranty because it's likely a less invasive process.
