Hello,

Looking for some help?

So, I was installing my AUX Switch panel today (different thread) and while removing the Center, I broke two of the connections behind the screen. One is blue the other is red, the best way for me to explain it is that the wires pulled out of the connectors. It’s as if the connectors need to crimped back on IF that’s even possible?

Not too mention, now I have no back-up Camera.

Thoughts?
Thanks in advance!

Come to think of it…. I got BOTH connections back on with some electrical tape and when I put the truck in reverse, the camera comes on for ONE SECOND before it goes blue.
Now I’m wondering if that’s a connector issue? Ugh!!!!

Let me get some pics of how the connectors are pulled from the cables. Red is the camera, and blue is telematics/gps/SiriusXM.

Thanks so much….
So, after doing some looking on other threads, I’m now starting to think that I re-connected them just fine and now wondering what other problem is could be?

Wouldn’t the fact that the Camera comes on THEN goes blue indicate that it wouldn’t be the connection?

Also, I broke the blue one and re-connected it, my XM is working fine. All the more why I’m starting to think it’s not the connection and something different?

I can’t see the connectors, so if you think they’re fine, reboot the radio two or three times in a row by pressing and holding the power button until the radio restarts.

I’ve gotta take the dash apart to get back at the connectors to take pics. I tried resetting like you suggested, no go…..
I understand there are a different resets?

You may get more responses if you edit the title to be a little descriptive of the problem. Electrical junkies may jump in, programming issues techno nerds love, engine trouble wrenchers like. Just Help, does not garner much attention.

Not a sermon, just a thought.

Great Idea, Ty very much!
