Apologies if this isn't the right subject forum....

I'm about to install some emergency responder blue lights in my 1500. I have a control switch to control the functions of the lights, and have found where I can bring the wire inside and up to the controller. I'm just having issues figuring out how to get power from the battery to the controller.

I'm planning on using 16ga wire but can't figure out how to attach that smaller gauge to the battery terminals. It seems all terminal connectors are for much larger wire. Can anyone help me figure this out?

Short answer:
They do sell the 16AWG ring terminals with heat shrink.
Or, use 14AWG wire and 14AWG ring terminals.

Questions that may help me help you:
Why do you want to attach the power cable to the battery? Do you need your controller to be able to function when the truck is off?
Why not just use add-a-fuse to the under dash fuse box, to either a constant hot or IGN controlled slot?
