Hello everybody, I hope all of you guys staying safe in this situation that we have at the moment.
I am debating what size of tire I should end up with. All I know that I want to get Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Now the options I narrowed it down to is 285/50r22 or 285/55r22.
I will be leaving my stock 22" sport rims. Not planning on lifting the truck, I might just level it. Also I don't want to loose the comfort of the stock tires. (A little extra noise i ok. )
Please share your opinions, and share some photos. I already used the search bar to look for the topic, and found somee info, but I want more opinions. Thanks again.

My choice probably doesn’t help you much because I kept the stock 20 inch Longhorn wheels and added 285/60/20 Ridge Grapplers. But I’ve noticed no change in ride quality and just a little bit of increased road noise which is not bad at all. My truck is neither lifted or leveled.

Thanks, it does help, your tire is slightly smaller, then the one I am planning to put on. But not a big difference at all. Nice ride by the way.

Thanks. I love this truck. Except for the poor AC. LOng live the AC hack that a lot us are doing.

Thanks for the link, there is some good info, would like to see more comments, phpros.
I just realized that link was to your truck. Looks very nice. I am leaning towards the 285/55. Do you think if I do level then I don't have to do any modifications ?
I believe there's still some minor clearance issues

Several lengthy threads on here about the sub-par AC performance some of us are experiencing. Maybe you got a properly performing one.

Going taller by one size is usually okay, wider is when problems happen

Yeah I'd breezed thru some, just hadn't noticed a "hack" tho?

The hack is clamping off the heater hose or install a valve in the hose where you can close it when the weather warms up. You might search the word “hack” to find details and pics.
