Hello. New to aftermarket wheels and offset. I have been reading alot and still am a bit confused on offset. Picking up a 2020 Ram Laramie (First Ram....been all F-150 before) with stock 22’s (black package) but I want 20’s. From what I see, stock wheels are 22x9 with 19mm offset? I plan to run 275 x 60 -20 tires (33’s vs stock 32's). Looking at a cpl different Fuel models (20 x 9) and most have only one option, +1 offset. Any idea of what that would mean on my truck as it relates to sticking out more than stock? From how I interpret what I read is the +1 will be a little more out than the stock. I plan to keep stock suspension. I didn't want to ask but seriously just need to confirm as I don't fully understand!

I was also thinking maybe I look for stock 20's in black vs buying aftermarket.

Thank you

Tats a great idea to look for a 20” oem black wheel. This way you won’t have any fitment concerns. As far as I remember, stock ET is 19 so that would keep you in that sweet spot. Heck you may even find someone depending on where you are that will swap plus some cash on their end for your 22” wheel/ tires combo.

The difference in stock vs a +1mm aftermarket is 18mm, so they will stick out .7" farther vs. the stock 22" wheels. Going to the -22mm offset, the difference is 41mm or 1.6" further out. Here's my truck with "0" offset 18x9:

Found these 2019 20s on marketplace. Was this style only 2019 or used for 2020 also? I've seen some 2020 20's but they look different.than these.

You stated that you wanted an 20 X 9 wheel. Be aware that OEM 20" rims come in an 8" or 9" widths. As you look for 2019 and 2020 OEM 6 lug rims you may want to research the width of each style rim. Ram gives you alot of options so be clear when you are shopping.

Is this rim a 20 X 8? Others chime in if you know since this particular rim can only be an 8 or a 9 ( I dont think RAM offers multiple widths in the same style rim)

You may be correct. My response is from my experience with the 4th Gen Ram - some of their 20s were 8" Im not sure if thats the case with the 5th Gen.

Offset is stamped behind one of the spokes of the wheel. OEM 20’s are +19

Yes. It will push the wheel 4 millimeters out towards the fender which is not even a quarter of an inch. It will be fine. You could run a +1 offset and still be fine.

Now the bigger question is what size tires are you planning to run

Got a set of 2020 Ram black 20" (more like dark gray I think) takes offs with zero miles for $1000. Falken Widpeak AT3 275/55/20 tires on them. Planning to put 275/60/20 Goodyear UltraTerrain tires on tomorrow.
