So I ordered the Hellwig 7709 for my 2021 Limited. Everyone said it was a 30 minutes install. Well let me tell you, mine was two hours and still going.

Everything was going smoothly until I tried mounting the brackets to the rear axle. One matched up perfectly, the other wasn't even close. We're talking a little less than a half inch off. I fought it for a good two hours last night until I decided to elongate each hole some to make it fit instead of taking it back apart. I did just enough to make it fit but it's still tight.

I sent an email to customer support but haven't heard anything back in the past 24 hours.

The truck definitely corners better but now the truck with 3800 miles pulls hard to the right and sometimes hard to the left. I've got the sway bar in the middle hole right now. If I don't hear anything from them by tomorrow then I will be calling them. Not sure if this was just a simple mistake with the wrong bracket or if quality control is starting to slip.

It shouldn't make the truck pull one direction or the other

I agree with the above. It can’t hurt to give them a call and see what they say.

I'm thinking that bracket is binding the bushing. I will go to the left lane and it will pull left. I can immediately go to the right lane and it will start to pull right.

The only way that could happen is if your rear differential were loose and shifting around. The rear differential always tracks straight no matter what the sway bar is doing.

Scary thought

I can guarantee it wasn't pulling either way before the install or I would have had this back to the dealer immediately to fix. I'm fighting the steering wheel because it wants to pull so much.

First people are reporting holes in sway bar are to small, now this, send it back!! Mounts have to be tight otherwise it’s going to wear out the bushings. Have them make it right.

I haven't heard this before. My holes were fine, it's just the one bracket that wasn't lining up.

There are a gazillion great reviews on Hellwig …. Gotta be something amiss here

I agree. Other than it pulling hard, it handles great!. Barely even move the steering wheel and it turns. It's like it has improved the steering response greatly. Truck doesn't roll in the curves like it used to. I'm happy with the performance aspect except it pulls. I'll probably take off the bracket and elongate the holes a little bit more until I can get a replacement bracket and see if that helps.

Something is incredibly wrong then, and it doesn’t sound right that elongating a hole on a bracket will cause what you’re talking about. Sway bars have no part in the tracking of the vehicle down the road, they just control body roll. That being said, crazier things have happened so I agree with the poster above you said to remove it. I do have a troubleshooting step I use, but I can’t suggest that here.

Is it possible to install the bar upside down? When I first put it on, I had a little trouble lining things up so I flipped it over and it went smoothly. I won't swear there is a right and wrong side up, but I do remember doing it.

The sway bar will fit upside down. I would make sure it is installed the correct way, & check you rear track bar to make sure it is tight & bushings are good.

There should be a slight dip in the bar that goes around the diff cover when the suspension reaches full travel

Put the stock bar back on, with the stock brackets and bushings.

Then, put the Hellwig bushings together and check them out. Something is definitely wrong.

My install was fine. I had to use different bolts for the bracket, but the brackets fit just fine.

sounds like you installed the sway bar upside down. I would put stock back and see if your issues go away. Once the issues are addressed then start the install again. unless they sent you the wrong part i cant see the HW bar being off. mine fit perfectly less than 30 min install 2021 limited

Take some pics when you climb back under, and post them
