any tips to keep the oil from an oil change ( by dealer ) from getting into my electric power steering connecter ?

A 2015 RAM is a 4th gen and this is for 5th gen RAMs, starting in 2019.

I would think the dealer would know how to change the oil without making a massive mess. Maybe you should just tell them to do better.

Really? Let me tell you that the stupidist arseholes in the world change oil at the dealerships. I have had them short me a quart of oil, the last time, and I mean the last time I will ever go they rotated the tires but didn't adjust the pressure as the front are different than the back, had the service manager take it back in the shop, I peaked around the door and she was giving the guy crap about it and the tag was on the door jamb, duh. Anyway, I get the truck back and he boosted ALL of them to 70psi as a big FU. I said F-it and took care of it at home and wrote them a strongly worded e-mail.
Never again.

Don't know about 4th Gen but 5th Gen oil udders work great for the oil utter.
As far as the dealership is concerned, don't.
