Hi all,
Picked up a 2020 1500 Bighorn with the Off-road and Sport packages about a year ago. Had Jeeps before this but have a growing family so needed the space. Loving the truck so far. My build plan is based mostly around camping and dirt roads, but added skids and sliders incase I get into some rocks. Have already gotten some great info from this forum so thanks!

Mods so far:
  • Addictive Desert Designs Stealth Fighter front bumper
  • RC 40" curved light bar
  • Trigger 4+ Switch panel
  • 18" factory wheel powdercoated black
  • 35" Goodyear Duratracs
  • Mopar Slush Mats
  • BedRug Impact liner
  • Mopar Utility Rails
  • KC Cyclones underhood and in the bed
  • KC Highlights Flex Ditch lights
  • Dethloff Mfg Transmission Skid
  • Debadged/blacked out

Ordered:
  • BDS 2" Coilover with FOX DSC
  • White Knuckle Off-Road Sliders
  • RSI SmartCap Evo Sport

Hi back at ya! Nice looking truck!
Newbie question: I like the the look of de- badging, but does it leave holes to fill or what when you remove the emblems? I’ve always de-stickered but never de-badged.

Hi thanks! I just took off the bighorn and 4x4 on the tailgate, and the RAM on both doors. Those were all just double-sided tape, and then peeled off the big 4x4 off-road on the sides of the bed. The RAM logo on the tailgate leaves holes and is sculpted into the sheet metal so I left that and just blacked it out.

Welcome! How is the ADD bumper and RC light working out for you. My ADD bumper should be here in 4 weeks and Im debating which light to pick up. Which model do you have?

I love the ADD bumper. It follows the body lines really well and install was super easy. The only surprise with it was that you could clearly see the frame parts that the auto air dam thing mounted to. It wasn't bad but I didn't love the looks, so I ended up just cutting those off the frame. I have some pics I think if you are interested.

The lightbar is this model https://www.roughcountry.com/40-inch-curved-led-light-bar-72940bl.html and seems good for the price. Have had it almost a year and it has held up well with no moisture inside. The individual LED lenses have a bit of a yellow look to them, but still mostly black looking. Light output seems amazing, but I have never used any other lightbar to compare it to.

I would love to see pics of the pieces you cut off.

The other idea I have been toying with is adding fog lights. Do you think there is any chance that a small Baja Design S2 could fit?(Dimensions below). Im thinking o f making a custom mount for here:

Part of the bumper is behind them so you have a limited area to use. I think you may need a single light setup, but it may be close. I attached some rough measurements. The pic with the tape in the middle is what seems like the useable area.

Here is a pic of the cut off frame piece. Everything fit great with them in place, I just didn’t like the look of them hanging down.

I also just saw you have the same suspension I have on order! What do you think of it? Are the gladiator springs in the rear to even it out? I have been worried about it being front end high. Thanks!

I LOVE the fox suspension. I do a decent amount of off roading with it and it handles anything I can throw at it (so far). The on street ride is also family approved :ROFLMAO:. I started with a set of 5100s and the ride was much more stiff than the stock setup. I did the install myself and it was easier than I expected.

The springs were a bit of an experiment to get the rear lifted. I was looking for .5-1 inch of lift so I could have some rake. I carry a decent amount of gear in the bed which resulted in the truck being exactly level 99% of the time. Adding any weight put me nose high. The springs netted me 1.5 in the rear but also less sag when I add weight. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the outcome. After adding the springs, I also added extended sway bar links (core4x4) to keep the bar level.

Hey guys, new to the thread here. I saw some mention of the RSI smartcap so I figured i'd drop a plug about selling mine since I'm changing vehicles. I live up in tacoma, WA. Let me know if you're interested.
