Hey guys. New to the forum but not to Rams. Picked up a 2020 Classic Tradesman today. It’s a company truck that is replacing a 2017 Tradesman with 200k miles on it. Nothing fancy has the chrome plus package, Hemi, 3.92 gear, limited slip and the 8 speed. My 17 had the 3.21 gear so I’m really curious to see how much different it is pulling my 27’ Tritoon boat. Can any tell me 1. Can you put an aftermarket radio in this truck so that I can have CarPlay and 2. Is there anyway to make the camera show on the radio vs in the rear view mirror? Thanks guys!

Yes you can go aftermarket on the radio and get anything you want for features. Crutchfield is an excellent resource. Here is a link. The classic series is identical to the 18 ram options so select 2018 ram. https://www.crutchfield.com/car/outfitmycar/mycar.aspx. Note that a lot of units are out of stock due to COVID. You may lose Uconnect so make sure you get a radio with Bluetooth calling. They should be able to advise on the camera. The other option is a salvage yard and 8.4” upgrade. The camera signal may need some creative wiring but should be able to get routed to the Aftermarket radio. Good luck and enjoy! Does the company buy your rear tires. Welcome and congratulations on your new truck , as has been said yes you can upgrade the radio and probably get one the has the rear camera but you’d have to replace the camera with whatever the new radio comes with I think .
