Lately my control (which i always have set to FLOOR in this season) moves itself to "DEFROST" all by itself. Anyone else notice this?
 
Yes, I believe that is by design. The ambient sensor detects that it needs defrost and switches it. I think that's how it works.
 
sort of by default? But that would use more fuel and i think they all took an oath to save fuel at every corner?
