Hello all, I was wondering if anyone has used any after market headrest set ups for the kiddos in the back seat of the 5th gens? If so whatcha got? Thanks!

If you have a center console it has a tablet holder in the rear cup holders. Used it once with my niece and nephew and worked pretty well.

Not worth the cost/ hassle. And it may not even be possible given the adjustability and active headrest components inside. Just buy the kids a couple iPad minis and be done with it ‍♂️

I had them in my 4th gen.. Now i just use the wifi and the kids carry their ipads or switch when we take longer drives.

Question about your kids using their switch, are they using it on the tablets? If so how did you hook it up? The TVs I have won’t accept any input from an aux source

Thanks for everyone’s $.02. My sister has headrest monitors in her SUV and it seems useful for the younger kids to not deal with them dropping the devices or changing the show accidentally. But must say I wasn’t keen on swapping out OEM headrests for aftermarket and then dealing with all the things that could go wrong with the install.

I had an aftermarket headunit that has video out to the headrest monitors.. i sold them when i traded my 4th gen in. My kids are older now and just bring their own devices when we drive a longer distance
