I picked up a 2019 Ram 1500 Tradesman in nov of 2024. I really like the truck overall, but coming from a Silverado LTZ, it definitely feels like it’s missing a few features. I bought it primarily for work, and the price was hard to pass up at $17,500. I had already come across the Infotainment site before purchasing, so I knew I could add some upgrades later to get the functionality I wanted.
First question:
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the headlight switch? My truck didn’t come with fog lights, but I want to add OEM-style LED foglights. I’d prefer not to use an aftermarket switch or button — I’d rather integrate them into the factory headlight switch, which already includes the fog light setting, even though the truck didn’t come with fogs from the factory.
Second question:
I’m also planning to upgrade to LED lighting — either OEM or high-quality aftermarket — but I’ve noticed most of the housings I’ve found state that the truck must have come with factory LEDs for compatibility. Does anyone happen to have a wiring diagram that compares the LED vs. halogen configurations? Or, even better, know of a plug-and-play harness or adapter that would allow LED housings to function properly on a Tradesman that came with halogens?
