Head unit

Hi everyone. I have just purchased a MY24 Ram 1500 Bighorn in Australia.
Unfortunately we don't get as much info and parts here in Aus.
I have a couple of questions
1. I wanted to upgrade the head unit with a genuine Ram one (out of a Laramie). Just wondering if it is a plug and play type thing or if I need to do other stuff??
2. Is the alfaobd or equivalent worth getting and if people have any issues with them? I would like my mirrors to fold in automatically when I turn my car off.

more info on your head unit is needed. what is you truck equipped with?
i don't know if auto fold is a thing but i wouldn't do it i feel like it would be to much wear and tear on the motors
alpha is still worth it IMO.

The standard bighorn screen. I think it's the 8inch maybe? The mirrors will fold in if i push the button but was trying to set it up so it's automatic

if it has nav with the factory subwoofer then all you need is the UC5 big screen with the trim if it don't have nav then you will need a bit more and it would be 1500 usd if you can get a good deal and i don't know if the big radio will work without the amplifier
if you have a "base" radio it's more trouble than it's worth to me but you may feel different
there is a 8in a 8.4 non nav and a 8.4 with nav
