Head Scratcher - Need Help - $445 Bed Utility Group

I took delivery of my Limited yesterday, and there is no cargo divider - only the rails. I am being told that because I do not have the Ram Boxes, this option is for the rails only. WTF? No way these rails are costing Ram $445...

Does anyone have a factory bed divider for non-Ram Box beds on their 2019 Ram 1500? Would love to see pictures to show my dealer...

My understanding is that the BUG for non-rambox trucks includes the bed liner, rails, and bed lights, not the cargo divider. The cargo divider is added if you get the ram box.

The bed divider doesn't physically fit in a bed without the ramboxes so nobody will have that setup. The divider only comes with the BUG when the truck also has the ramboxes.

This is my understanding as well. I read it in some Ram literature that had a nice little disclaimer about the divider only coming with the Ramboxes. They do have a sliding divider you can purchase for the regular bed as well, but it doesn't come with the BUG.

So maybe my sales guy just mis-spoke when we were sitting in his office doing the ordering of the truck on his computer. Humans make mistakes. Has anyone here put the "Cargo Bed Divider" - Mopar part number 82215481 - on their non-Ram Box 2019 Ram? I saw this on the Mopar parts website (https://store.mopar.com/accessories...go_management/cargo_bed_divider_82215481.html) and thought this is what was missing from my BUG.

I do not have that divider but it looks like something that should work well. I opted for a bed extender https://www.amp-research.com/amp-research-74840-01a-bedxtender-hd-max. Check out a few youtube videos on it if you are interested. It can be flipped inside the tailgate easily to create the divider or can be flipped out to extend the bed to the length of the tailgate. I am very pleased with it. Main downside is that it would only have one "divider" position whereas that divider you are looking at could be positioned anywhere on the rail.

Update: I got the bed divider from my dealer yesterday and assembled it late last night. It works awesome, but one potential downside is that the rails you have to install onto the BUG side rails stick up higher than the BUG side rails, so there is a chance this divider will not work with my UnderCover Armor Flex bed cover that's on its way. Wish I had a picture to show you what I mean, but it was late and dark last night.

I'll update this thread as soon as I get my bed cover installed and figure this out... stay tuned!

I know what you mean, after I installed mine, I noticed it does sit higher. I have the Mopar tri-fold cover from the dealer and it is harder to clip the clamps in place now. Just takes a little finagling. As far as after-market tonneau covers, I read some owners say the divider's rails do interfere with their tonneau covers.

Congrats on the new truck. If you are able to get the rebate below it can help pay for your divider!

Make sure you go file for this additional rebate. Seems like they have been having problems with vin numbers being in the system so you have to call them so they send you the actual app. Do it within 60 days of purchase. Many of us have already received our checks. No strings attached.

The only qualification is that “someone in your household” must have a non-FCA vehicle.
