I feel there should be a bit more grip to the power step. What options do you guys think could make them have more grip?

I think there is enough clearance for one coat on top. I would not go above one coat. I would probably start with strips of the 3m non-skid tape.

The 3M strips might be the way to go... Some up front and some by the back doors
