Has anyone been told by dealer the heater core leaks on the exhaust and needs replaced Yet it doesn't fog the inside of the wind shield?

Has anyone been told by dealer the heater core leaks on the exhaust and needs replaced Yet it doesn't fog the inside of the wind shield?
They replaced mine and still smell coolant.

I'm not sure how the heater core which is on the inside of the vehicle is leaking on the exhaust which is on the outside of the vehicle. Maybe I'm missing something.
