Looking to replace what seems to be a original battery in my 19' Limited and saw where people say it's possible if you remove a section of the tray.
Does anyone have a picture or video of what exactly needs to come out to allow the H* Group battery? I'm thinking of this battery: Robot or human?
Thanks for any advice!

If I remember right it's #5 in this diagram, and it goes where I drew the red circle. Pull that out, and the H8 fits no problem.

That is the same battery I purchased and installed today. I put my NOCO charger on it a while ago to top off the charge before connecting any of the cables. There is a small plastic wedge that pops out of the battery tray that allows for the larger battery. The guy at Walmart tried to tell me that because they don’t list that battery in their book for my truck, the warranty would be void. Ummm, 12V is 12V. What the hell? Whatever!

Bought the battery I listed at wally world and they refused to install it. I asked why and the guy said that in their "outdated" book it wouldn't work and with all the cameras watching the installers they could be sued. I asked what was the reason they couldn't install it, and he couldn't tell me, or wouldn't. What a crock of s**t.

He doesn't want to get fired. He doesn't make the rules, and it sucks, but it's understandable. I got a Duralast Platinum H8-AGM from Autozone. No troubles installing it in the parking lot.

I replaced my original battery with an identical looking one from Autozone. It's a heavy thing. I'm 76 and had to plan the heft carefully. Can't afford to drop that thang. Best to have two sets of burly hands, but I'm hardheaded. I got it done. Just a word of warning for anyone who has not lifted one of these into that tight position.

The warranty says bring it in for a replacement if there is a problem within 4 years. That’s what I plan on doing if it goes bad. Take it in for a swap. It’s easy enough to do myself.
