GT Exhaust?

Hey there, newbie here. Just bought a 2024 Ram Laramie Hemi e-torque Sport package / hood. Its VERY loud to me so much so that I can't remote start it in the AM in my super quiet neighborhood. Called local dealer, they have no clue.

After spending hours online I found this forum and have read most comments on GT Vs Non GT exhaust. Based on the information I've learned here, I have the GT Resonators on NON GT Laramie ! Stamping 9408-L and 9408-R. I have not checked the muffler yet. Now I need to go battle with the dealer over this gross negligence! Just want to share with all here as more ammo if anyone needs it. I am no prude, and and older muscle car guy, but in my daily driver I don't need or want this exhaust note.

Ha ha, well the dealer is probably going to want them for warranty exchange. We'll see how that goes. I have an appt in a couple of weeks.

My 2023 Bighorn 5.7 etorque has the same resonators. I only have the sport appearance package. I have owned a 2020 Longhorn previously and I have mentioned to several people that my 2023 definitely sounds different and has a more pronounced tone. I love it though. I assumed all the 22+ sound this way.

I had stock exhaust and put the GT exhaust on the next day after picking up my truck. Cold start is louder but nowhere near as loud as aftermarket exhaust. As the fast idle comes down it quiets down a lot. I can’t imagine how that could annoy any neighbors. All of my neighbors are older and never once got a complaint.
If your dealer won’t resolve it I have a brand new stock complete exhaust system with about 100 miles on it in the classifieds if you’re anywhere near WI. It’s quiet as can be. Too quiet actually.

Well I can't speak for your neighborhood, but mine is so quiet you can hear a frog fart. All relative my friend, I didn't come here to debate what sounds good, or is noisy, etc., I just want a quieter exhaust. If I want sound I'll fire up my Mustang GT350

My 22 bighorn has the gt resonators as well. I think 22 and after all have those resonators. The difference is the muffler. Non GT is C-9367. GT muffler which looks the exact same is C-9396.

Hmm, that's not what I've learned here perhaps in another thread topic? I will get it sorted out once the dealer see's my trucks. Thanks for all the input.

I checked my 2024 Laramie because it sounds louder than my 2014 and 2017 1500’s. I have the GT resonators, but the standard muffler. I had a magnaflow on my 2014, and a flowmaster on my 2017. Both were too loud for my taste and eventually went back to the stock mufflers which were then too quiet. This combo is perfect for me, so I’m happy it at least has the GT resonators..

My wife has a Grand Cherokee with the 5.7 Hemi and it is way too quiet. I would love it if it sounded like my truck.
