Th Dealership is telling me I put the wrong size tires on my truck which is just not true. I only switched from Good Year to Michelin and same exact size.
The EPS steering TSB applies to 2022 models as well. Make sure they look at itI have this exact issue with my 2021 Ram Limited. The truck is int he dealership and I was told that my tires are 2" too tall. I am running Michelin Tire Size: 285/45R22/XLs which was what the truck was sold with.
Was this done under warranty or out of your pocket? Dealer has never been able to recreate the sound I hear, even though I tell them it is intermittent. Now it is fairly consistent and I am looking to get it back in for them to diagnose it. Trying to figure out how much I am going to have to dump into a nearly brand new truck (2021).Mine was the steering rack. It was replaced and the problem solved.
I used this exact TSB to do an Electronic Power Steering update 4 days ago and haven't heard/felt the grinding noise since. I was originally told it would be $168 from the Ram dealership. They only charged me $84 because it was completed so quickly. This was fixed for me using this TSB. Provide it to your dealer.
Good to hear. Shoulda cost $5 since it’s just a flash for the module.I used this exact TSB to do an Electronic Power Steering update 4 days ago and haven't heard/felt the grinding noise since.
