I bought a 24 ram 4x4 and grease keeps getting slung on to my paint. Has anyone seen this before and is it normal?

Thats road tar from the roads you're driving on
Interesting I suppose it could be. I'm not sure where I'd be picking that up. My mind went to suspension or something maybe being over greased from the factory but I couldn't find anything.

Did you drive on a road where they recently sealed cracks? That’s where I usually pick it up. They open lanes too soon before it hardens.

If it was axle grease, I would expect it to be more wide and splattered. And it would be more in your fender wells, rather than on the outside edges. What you're seeing is almost surely slinging up from the roadway.

I gotcha I'm leaning towards something probably from the roads, however there is a fair amount in the fender wells as well but I didn't take a picture of it

Check your rubber axle boots. Unless you see excess grease there (and a tear in them) then it’s probably from the road. Is this just at one fender, or all of them?

Most definitely something picked up off the road. Axle grease wouldn't get flung out into the outside of fenders like that.

I ran my truck through a car wash and it applied a tire shine to the tires. By the time I got home the tire shine spun off the tires and left something similar to what you're showing.

May have came off a semi that had the hitch plate overcoated with grease...
