now where can I find a hole through the firewall to feed the coax cable and connector into the passenger compartment. The antenna will/like to be along the middle of the left fender, with the bracket between the hood line and the fender.

There's a rubber gasket you can either cut or just push to the side on the lower left of the driver's side that feeds right through the firewall. It is fairly easy to spot, there's a couple cables already going through there.
