Hi guys this is my first new vehicle purchase all other cars have been used purchases from private sellers.
I found a dealer...the only dealer willing to negotiate...who will sell me a 2020 1500 Limited Black appearance package for 55k the sticker is 69,500. Is this a good deal? Out the door including taxes and fees is 59,500.

thanks for any input!

That's about 20% off msrp. If it's what you're looking for and got the options you need, I would jump on that deal.

I bought mine at 16% off not including trade in. I'd say anything above that as long as you're happy with the truck is a good deal.

Sounds like a great deal. Better jump on that!

Wish I got that deal.

Ok cool, I wasn’t sure if I was getting a good deal or not but sounds like it is so I’m pulling the trigger. I love the truck it’s gorgeous and has all the available options minus the rambox and tailgate. Thanks a ton guys

Sounds like our Limited, except we have the rambox and MFT :p
Enjoy the new truck!

I would jump on that deal while you can. But be aware of the hard sales pitch that the finance guy is going to pound you with...Extended warranty, undercoating, clear coat protection, on and on. Just politely say thanks, but no thanks.

I got my 19 hemi and my 2020 ED from the same dealer and salesman. On the 19 Hemi I got pounded with the sales pitch from the accessories manager on that stuff, 3M protectant, undercoating, ceramic coating, tonneau cover, step bars on and on and on. They try to make it sound like such a good deal and I’m laughing inside. $800 for side steps that I can buy for $450 myself and put on, give me a break. And then the finance guy being an a-hole every time I said no to something. If I would have bought all the stuff they were trying to sell I would have had to finance an extra 10k

so when I got my Ecodiesel I told my salesmen when I was coming in and asked him to please have everything ready and I wasn’t going to buy anything extra so don’t bother. Went in, no sales pitch on all the accessories or coatings and no pressure on the extended warranties. It was nice

You got that right. The finance office is where the dealerships make their biggest profit by far. Don't fall for any of that, and beware of the additional "fees" they might try to add in.

IMO the $55K is a great deal. But..... what's in the extra $4.5K on the out the door price. If it is mostly tax and license then it's a good deal. If they are adding a couple grand in fees then not so much. When I ordered my limited in March of 2019, the sticker was $67.5 and I paid $57.5 before tax and license. My sales tax was 10.1% and license was $900 (yes, $900 thanks to our rapid transit tax, but that's a whole other story)

It’s a good deal. Bought my Limited in Dec 2018, $67.5 sticker, paid $53 before tax title tags which came out just below $59OTD

Great deal! Just be sure to go through the options with a fine tooth comb. Don't let the adrenaline get the best of you. Make sure you are getting what you want. Things like gear ratios and fuel tank size can be easy to overlook when you're excited about buying a new truck.

Hey AmericanRebelution how do you like your iDrive as compared to Pedal Commander or others?

There is actually another very active thread on this topic: https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/throttle-controllers.24236/page-3#post-340794

Although I have not used a Pedal Commander, I do really like the iDrive. I have one in my Ram as well as my Jeep. It has several modes including stock, automatic (which responds based on how you drive), eco mode, and "ultimate" mode which is a performance mode. Functionality is very similar to other units. Both eco mode and ultimate mode have 10 levels. I really like the ability to fine tune throttle response for various scenarios. I tend to use Ultimate level 2-3 for usual driving, Ultimate level 6-7 for spirited driving, Eco levels 3-5 for towing or hauling, Eco level 2-3 for offroading, and Eco 3-4 for highway driving. I like the appearance, too - it is small and clean.
