I have the OEM 22" wheels on my 2019 RAM 1500 Laramie Longhorn with a 285/45R22 tire [32" Diameter]. I'm looking to drop down to an 18" wheel for more sidewall (and aesthetics) and run a 275/70 [32" Diameter] Terra Grappler G3. After looking through this thread, it looks like that size won't interfere with the air suspension outside of minor rubbing, however I will admit that most of the wheels in that thread are 20-22". I feel like I'm potentially overthinking this, but I'd like to purchase the 18" Raceline 956BS which, according to Discount Tire, does not fit my vehicle.
I'm guessing that this is due to the DT database assuming a stock Laramie Longhorn, but I've also heard that certain custom wheels can be problematic at 18" on the 2019+ RAM 1500's. Can anyone with more experience chime in an let me know if I'd run into problems with this setup that I haven't considered? Wheel specs below if it helps:
RIM DIAMETER | 18"
RIM WIDTH | 9"
OFFSET | -12
HUB BORE SIZE | 106.1
WEIGHT | 32 LBS
Thank you in advance.
