Hello,

Finally getting around to hooking up my midland gmrs radio. It was an easy install on my Tacoma but I am lost with rams….anyone have a good/clean location on where and how I can get the antenna cable into the cab? Thanks

So, we ran mine through the grommet on the firewall directly behind the glove box. My antenna is mounted on the passenger side of the hood. Fairly easy. It's not letting me upload my pic.

I went through the grommet on the driver side firewall. Ended up using the ditch light bracket to mount my antenna

I know this is old, but :
1 - how good of reception are you getting from running the antenna on the hood (instead of the roof)
2 - since I have the PANO-roof, the only place for me is next to the "sharkfin" antenna but I haven't tried it yet to see what kind of interference I'll get (my radio is up to 50 watts).

A 50 watt UHF transmitter next to the shark-fin... Did not want my 15 watt anywhere near it, so, made an L-bracket that mounts to the bed rail.
Using a Larsen 5/8 wave antenna, seems to work OK.
Haven't talked to anyone ever but receive seems fine. :D
