So I'm having the issue where my upper glove box light stays on all the time (2020 1500 Laramie.) I was due for an oil change so while I was at the dealership, I had them check it out. Is it normal for them to just order a whole new glove box? The part number is 5ye141x9-ah.

It depends on what the dealership found when the investigated. Some have had just a bad connection and some have had the box replaced.

They ordered a whole new upper glove box for mine because the tech. said there was no way to adjust the cam that actuates the switch.

I just hope when they do the work they are more careful than the Chevrolet dealership did with my (now lemon'd) Silverado
