geting a new intake ?

i am thinking of changing the intake manifold since it gets all clogged up in soot and was thinking about changing it to a brand new oem one ??

what about aftermarket manifold that banks, makes is it better then oem?

as title says i am thinking of just puting a new intake for preventative maintence even tho i have had no issues besides a few times…. i feel like it worth the 400 for parts but does anyone know how hard it would be to remove ??

also what about aftermarket and having banks. manifold ?

I'm not following what you said. What does an aftermarket intake to for preventative maintenance? It's simple enough to replace the filter in the stock air box.

Haha I guess I should have paid attention to which forum this was. I wasn't aware of the sooting up issue on the ED. Thanks for clarifying.

welll recently my mpg went to **** it was at 24mpg combined but now at 18 and i did notice alittle sluggish
